The area of Verona has been inhabited since prehistoric times. The urban settlement was formed by the Romans around the year 300 BC. Because of the importance and value of many historical buildings, Verona is located in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. Verona has a millions of tourists every year thanks to ancient buildings, cultural and historical monuments, a number of churches, city buildings, palaces and preserved old city center. And if you believe in love and romance, come to Verona – there is a reason why three of Shakespeare’s plays are set here: Romeo and Juliet, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, and The Taming of the Shrew.
